Q. What are the goals of the campaign?

A: The goals are categorized into two phases for this campaign. Phase I will expand our middle school building with the addition of two classrooms, remodel two existing classrooms into state-of-the-art science labs, make significant upgrades to campus infrastructure and current programs and reduce the school’s existing debt. The total amount needed for Phase I is $2 million.

Phase II of this campaign focuses on the construction of a multipurpose athletic facility on the practice field behind the Fine Arts building. This new facility will provide our student athletes with a dedicated, state-of-the-art training space and enhance overall athletic programming. The total amount needed for Phase II is $3 million.

Q: What steps were taken to prepare for a campaign?

A: After recommendation from our Canonical Board, St. Joe underwent a comprehensive planning study last spring. The results from the study indicated that our community expressed an overwhelming amount of support and readiness for a capital campaign. With unanimous support from Bishop Kopacz and the Canonical Board of Pastors, St. Joe leadership elected to move forward with a campaign.

A: Yes, these goals represent the most urgent priorities for St. Joe currently. Addressing these needs will not only enhance our educational environment but also ensure that we can continue to serve our growing student body effectively and sustainably.

A: The campaign will benefit the entire St. Joe community, including our students, faculty, staff and families. By expanding our middle school building, addressing campus upgrade needs, reducing the school debt, and constructing a multipurpose athletic facility, we are enhancing the student experience and providing new opportunities for academic growth, physical activity and community engagement. These improvements will support the development of our students and create spaces where the entire St. Joe community can come together. The campaign is an investment in the future of our school and everyone who is a part of it.

Q: What upgrades have been done over the last few years around campus?

A: We have made these improvements over the past few years:

Installed Nightlock security barricades on all classroom doors
Installed new roof to the baseball dugout and concession stands
Rebricked the baseball and softball dugouts
Installed baseball and softball changing and storage rooms
Installed new VCT flooring in the hallways of the 300, 400 and 500 buildings
Applied school branded vinyl wraps to the exterior doors and windows around campus
Repaved the east parking lot
Updated the furniture in the Fine Arts building
Purchased two school buses
Installed a Jumbotron in the gymnasium
Built a deck near football field for journalism students to call the games live
