Journalism – 2013 Mississippi Scholastic Press Association Convention

St. Joe journalism teacher, Terry Cassreino, and Journalism Students take home 24 awards, including first place for the best student newspaper among small schools in the state.

» Other first-place awards students received included honors for best news story, best feature story, best entertainment story, best sports story, best sports column and best page design – all for stories they wrote and that appeared in the student newspaper, The Bear Facts.

St. Joe celebrated the Feast of St. Joseph with a traditional altar of food to donate to the poor. Parents Bridget Engle, Lesa Nuzzo, Dana Caskey and Tammy Bednarzyk put the altar together before Mass.
