Mrs. Alumbaugh's teaching career began in 1987 with a certification in Mathematics (7-12). She received both her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Master of Math Education Degrees from University of Southern Mississippi.

Currently, Mrs. Alumbaugh teaches both Honors and Regular Geometry. Throughout her 34-year teaching career, she has taught 7-12 mathematics. After teaching in Lamar, Scott and Rankin counties, Mrs. Alumbaugh retired from public school education. After retiring, she continued her teaching career at St. Joseph Catholic School. This is Mrs. Alumbaugh's ninth year to teach at St. Joe.

Outside school, she enjoys spending time with her husband, John and son, Jacob and his family as well as their fur baby, Cotton. She especially enjoys spending time with her grandbaby, Wylder. Other interests are shopping, traveling, and reading. The mountains are Mrs. Alumbaugh's happy place!! She is also actively involved in her church, First Baptist Church of Polkville, where her husband leads worship.
