Mrs. Runnels has been in education for the last 22 years and has served in many roles. Her experience includes teaching numerous courses and grade levels from pre-school through high school seniors and administration. Nineteen of those years has been in dedication to the ministry of Catholic education.
She holds an undergraduate degree in early childhood development from Northeastern State University, Oklahoma, and a master’s degree in education administration from the University of Southern Mississippi, Gulf Coast.
Mrs. Runnels and her husband Joseph have been married for 32 years and have three sons: Ian, Austin, and Marshall. All three attended Catholic school, the two oldest graduating from St. Stanislaus, in Bay St. Louis and the youngest graduating from Saint Joseph, in Madison.
Mrs. Runnels and her family are originally from Pass Christian on the beautiful Gulf Coast but have called Madison and St. Joseph Catholic School home for the last 5 years. They are members of St. Joseph, Gluckstadt parish where she serves as a lector/reader and a member of the altar society.
She and her family enjoy time together for cooking, board games, old movies, and travel. In her quiet time, she enjoys creating arts/crafts, and reading.
