Bio

Dr. May began teaching at St Joseph Catholic School in 2016 when he moved to Jackson, MS from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He received his Ph.D. from Louisiana State University and his MA and BA from Mississippi College.

Dr. May taught Composition, World Masterpieces, American Lit, and British Lit at both colleges as well as a Film and Literature class at Loyola City College in New Orleans. He worked as an Educational Technology Consultant in the Division of Standards and Assessments at the Louisiana Department of Education and an Education Consultant for McGraw-Hill Education.

Currently at St. Joe, Dr. May teaches 11th grade AP Language and Composition, American Literature, and a Dual Credit Composition 1 & 2 through St. Joseph Catholic School in association with Mississippi College.
