LETTER FROM PRINCIPAL DENA KINSEY

Dear St. Joe Family,

As we look forward to the start of the 2018-2019 school year, we want you to know that St. Joseph Catholic School along with other schools in the Jackson Diocese has withdrawn our voluntary affiliation with the Mississippi Department of Education. We are very grateful for the many years of partnership with them, and we leave in good standing.

We appreciate our partnership with the Mississippi Department of Education. While we move ahead in a different direction, we look forward for other opportunities to work together in the future.

St. Joseph Catholic School’s move will not affect the quality of college prep education we offer our students. In fact, we remain accredited by AdvancED, formerly called the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and by the NCEA, the National Catholic Education Association, both of which are accreditations sought by colleges and universities.

Our move also will not change our athletic program. St. Joseph remains affiliated with the Mississippi High School Activities Association just like it has for years. St. Joseph Catholic School strives to provide the best education possible for our students. Thank you for your continued support in Catholic education.

Sincerely,

Dena Kinsey

Principal
