Win Dak Prescott jersey, Ole Miss baseball

weekend and $10,000 at St. Joe fundraiser

MADISON (Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018) – Dak Prescott and Tom Brady signed football jerseys, an Ole Miss baseball weekend, a one-week vacation at Gulf Shores and $10,000 in cash could be yours at the 2018 St. Joseph Catholic School Drawdown.

Tickets for the Saturday, Feb. 3, event are on sale at the school and online. For $130 a couple, guests have a shot at a $10,000 grand prize as well as an opportunity to bid on silent and live auctions that include the autographed jerseys, baseball weekend, Gulf Shores vacation and more.

“We have an incredible array of prizes that anyone would love to win,” Principal Dena Kinsey said. “And with a wide assortment of gourmet food available that night, this is a great way to spend time with friends and family while supporting the No. 1-rated Catholic high school in Mississippi.”

Jeans, Jazz & Bruin Blues – St. Joseph Catholic School’s largest annual fundraiser – is Saturday, Feb. 3, 6:30-9:30 p.m., on the school campus. Money raised by the event will be used to enhance student educational experiences.

In addition to silent and live auctions, guests also will enjoy an open bar and gourmet food – seafood gumbo, fried catfish, lamb shots, beef tenderloin, desserts and more – prepared by the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church chapter of the Knights of Columbus.

St. Joseph Catholic School provides students in Grades 7-12 a rigorous college preparatory education grounded in the teachings of the Catholic church. The school is in Madison on Mississippi 463, about a mile west of Interstate 55.

St. Joseph was founded in 1870 by the Sisters of Mercy. The school is accredited by the Mississippi Department of Education and AdvancED; Niche.com named St. Joe Mississippi’s No. 1 Catholic high school in 2016 and again in 2017.

Other attractions at the St. Joe drawdown include:

Live Auction: Up for bid are several items including Dak Prescott, Tom Brady, Ezekiel Elliott and Steph Curry signed jerseys; a ladies, 14-karat white gold ring with a 1.05 carat diamond and 1 carat sapphire valued at $6,500; and a ladies Tag Heuer watch valued at $3,200.

Silent Auction: Guests will be able to bid on such items as a Brett Favre signed jersey; a poster celebrating the 1977 Ole Miss victory over Notre Dame; a Wyatt Waters Mississippi State Bulldog watercolor; and cakes prepared by Cake Diva.

Wall of Wine: For $25, guests can buy a numbered cork from the Wall of Wine. The number will correspond to a bottle of wine that could be valued anywhere from a minimum of $20 to more than $100. This event sells out fast.

Bruin Bucks: For $10 a ticket, guests can take a chance at winning several elaborate specialty baskets of gifts put together by St. Joseph classes and faculty.

With just 550 tickets available for the St. Joe drawdown, the event is expected to sell out fast.

Drawdown tickets are available at the school’s main office, 308 New Mannsdale Road in Madison. Tickets also can be bought online at www.stjoedrawdown.com.

“Where else can you have a night out with your spouse or friends, enjoy some of the best food you’ve ever tasted and have a chance to take home $10,000 in cash or any one of the many great prizes available in our live and silent auctions?” event chair Kinshasa Watson said.

“And to top everything off, you will leave St. Joe the night of Feb. 3 with the satisfaction and knowledge that you supported one of the best educational institutions in the state of Mississippi,” she said. “Remember to act fast before tickets are gone.”
