Bruin athletes to sign to play softball at next level

 

MADISON (Monday, Nov. 7, 2022) – Three St. Joseph Catholic School student athletes plan to sign Wednesday to play softball next fall at Mississippi State University, East Central Community College, and Northwest Community College.

Senior Megan Davidson plans to sign with Mississippi State, senior Kaitlyn Jones plans to sign with East Central and senior Thenya Kennedy plans to sign with Northwest.

The signings will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022, in the St. Joe gym. Davidson, Jones and Kennedy, along with Coach Charlie Freemyer, Coach Joseph Dykes and Athletic Director Michael Howell, will be available for media interviews.

St. Joseph Catholic School, founded in 1870 by the Sisters of Mercy, offers seventh- through 12th-grade students a rigorous college prep curriculum grounded in the teachings of the Catholic Church.

St. Joe, 308 New Mannsdale Road in Madison just west of the Interstate 55-Mississippi 463 interchange, is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools – the accrediting arm of Cognia.
