A Gulf Shores vacation, a 65-inch TV and more up for grabs at St. Joe Draw Down
MADISON (Friday, January 10, 2020) – One person could win a week-long stay in Gulf Shores, a basket with gift cards to metro Jackson restaurants, a 65-inch 4K LED television, or a prom package that includes transportation and dinner for six.
All these items – along with $10,000 in cash – will be up for grabs at St. Joseph Catholic School’s biggest annual fundraiser, the 2020 edition of the Jeans, Jazz & Bruin Blues Draw Down. The event is 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at The Country Club of Jackson.
“With a new venue for our annual event and such a great selection of prizes, this is a night you won’t want to miss,” Principal Dena Kinsey said. “The Draw Down is a great way to enjoy a night out with your spouse and friends while also supporting St. Joseph Catholic School.”
Tickets for the adult-only Jeans, Jazz & Bruin Blues Draw Down are $130 a couple, which gives guests a chance at the $10,000 cash grand prize as well as an opportunity to bid on silent and live auction items. Guests also will enjoy catered food and an open bar.
Dress for the event is casual – including jeans.
St. Joseph Catholic School, founded in 1870 by the Sisters of Mercy, is celebrating 150 years of faith formation and excellence in education. The school offers seventh-through 12th-grade students a rigorous college prep curriculum grounded in the teachings of the Catholic Church.
St. Joe is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, the accrediting arm of Cognia.
Besides the $10,000 grand prize, the Draw Down will feature a silent auction, a live auction and raffle packages. For $25, guests also can buy a numbered cork from the Wall of Wine; the number will correspond to a bottle of wine worth anywhere from $20 to more than $100.
With just 550 tickets available for the event, the Draw Down is expected to sell out.
Draw Down tickets are available at the school’s main office, 308 New Mannsdale Road in Madison – about a mile west of the Interstate 55 Madison exit. Tickets also are available to purchase at every home basketball game and online at www.stjoedrawdown.com.
“We have been working for almost a year planning the Draw Down,” said Tricia Harris, St. Joe's advancement director. “Relocating the event from the campus gym to The Country Club of Jackson will give us more room. It won’t seem so crowded.
“Where else can anyone go in the Jackson area and enjoy food, drinks, fellowship and a chance to win such a nice array of incredible prizes? And everything we do – all the funds generated by this event – goes right back into providing students at St. Joe a first-rate education.”
